Teacher Fired Over Ferguson Tweets
DUNCANVILLE, Texas (AP) -- A Dallas-area school board has fired a teacher who posted racially charged tweets about the killing of a black 18-year-old by a white police officer in Missouri. Duncanville Independent School District trustees unanimously voted Friday to terminate the contract of Vinita Hegwood (HEG'-wood). The dismissal came a day after Hegwood, who is black, apologized for comments on her Twitter account that were laced with expletives and derogatory references to whites and blacks. Administrators called the remarks "reprehensible." Hegwood taught English at Duncanville High School. She'd been on unpaid leave and submitted her resignation Thursday, but the school board rejected it and instead fired her. The tweets were related to Michael Brown, who was unarmed when fatally shot Aug. 9 in Ferguson, Missouri. The shooting has led to ongoing community unrest. B19A6rrCIAAX04M-412x620
Let's Kill Ward's Wife
Everyone hates Ward’s wife and wants her dead, Ward (Donald Faison) most of all. But when his friends’ murderous fantasies turn into an (accidental) reality, they have to deal with a whole new set of problems—like how to dispose of the body and still make their 3 p.m. tee time. It  is a blackly comic caper about helping a friend out of a bad relationship by any means necessary.

Fed Up
This is the movie the food industry doesn't want you to see. FED UP blows the lid off everything we thought we knew about food and weight loss, revealing a 30-year campaign by the food industry, aided by the U.S. government, to mislead and confuse the American public, resulting in one of the largest health epidemics in history. From Katie Couric, Laurie David (Oscar winning producer of AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH) and director Stephanie Soechtig, FED UP will change the way you eat forever.
The Gambler

Both an English professor and a high-stakes gambler, Bennett bets it all when he borrows from a gangster (Michael Kenneth Williams) and offers his own life as collateral. Always one step ahead, Bennett pits his creditor against the operator of a gambling ring (Alvin Ing) and leaves his dysfunctional relationship with his wealthy mother (Academy Award®-winner Jessica Lange) in his wake. He plays both sides, immersing himself in an illicit, underground world while garnering the attention of Frank (John Goodman), a loan shark with a paternal interest in Bennett’s future. As his relationship with a student (Brie Larson) deepens, Bennett must take the ultimate risk for a second chance…
